Renfrew County Chapter Woodlot Tours at Northern Viking Farm

On Sunday, September 22nd, Northern Viking Farm will be hosting an event in collaboration with Farms Open 2024. Please stop by anytime from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a visit and to pick up an information package.

Special Woodlot Tours will also be offered, in collaboration with the Renfrew County Chapter of the Ontario Woodlot Association. John Stuart (Past President of the Renfrew County Chapter) will lead the tours, which will cover red pine plantation management. Participants will also learn to identify some common trees. 

Two tours will be offered... the first will run from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the second from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Both woodlot tours of the red pine plantation (planted in 1989) will start from the Northern Viking Farm Store.

 Northern Viking Farm is located at 921 Cold Creek Road, off of Letts Cemetery Road outside of Eganville.
