Harvesting logs is part of sustainable forest management. The optimal processing of logs makes it possible to value one of the most important products of our forests in an eco-responsible way. The use of local wood in any construction and the creation of furniture or wooden items from our forest will have a unique story that is: it is priceless!

Several specialists will review the different technical aspects of log processing. Local service providers, including representatives for the sale of wood and equipment, blade sharpening, drying and other technical services. Most presentations will be delivered in French.

The workshop will continue in the afternoon with a demonstration of log sawing at the mill of François Delorme, owner of a local log sawing company. A demonstration by the manufacturer of SMG brand portable saw mills will explain the proper functioning and the important adjustments for its optimal use.
