In 1974 Chris Bowen purchased the 67.73 Acre property in North Glengarry. In 1994 the property was hit by a tornado followed by the 1998 Ice Storm. In 1999 Chris applied for the Forest Recovery Assistance Program which led to a woodlot management agreement with Domtar in 2000. Throughout the years, Chris has created a system of trails throughout the property. In 2012, Chris established a plantation under the 50 million tree program. Chris has also planted some butternut trees on his property.
