Community Tree Planting in Tasca Community Park (Nobleton, Township of King) with LEAF

LEAF stands for Local Enhancement & Appreciation of Forests. LEAF is a non-profit organization that teaches people about trees and gets them excited about the urban forest. We plant native species in backyards and public spaces while engaging citizens in urban forest stewardship through planting, education and training. We envision healthy, vibrant communities where everyone values and cares for the urban forest.

Calling all tree-lovers! Join us for a family-friendly afternoon of planting native trees and shrubs in Tasca Community Park. Dig into some fun and help grow the Township of King’s urban forest!

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Planting event will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Please wear:

• Closed-toed shoes or boots – no sandals, please!
• Gardening gloves, if you have them (we will have extras)
• Appropriate clothing – the event runs rain or shine

Please bring multiple filled water bottles (there will be no water refill station on site).
