Nature Walk
Hosted by Grandview Area Residents Association with support from the York-Durham Chapter.
These Nature walks are organized by the Grandview Area Residents Association at a 2.5 acre wooded area with mulched paths in their local Grandview Park. There are several tree species to identify and also to discuss their importance in the woods, examples, white pine, ironwood, red and white oak, sugar maple, pignut hickory, walnut, American beech, and musclewood.
The Grandview Area Residents Association has planned six walks this year, each with a different theme. Each walk is led by a knowledgeable person in their field such as birds, insects, fungus and mushrooms, native plants etc. This walk is led by Eric Davies who has volunteered to help the participants in the identification of trees and shrubs.
