Forest of Hope Tree Plant 2022

Help us break ground on a network of forests to spread hope and awareness of suicide prevention. 

The OWA is proud to be a partner in the establishment of Canada's first Forest of Hope, an initiative of the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention. A special tree plant is scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, at the site of the Forest of Hope, a property owned by the Kiwanis Club of Pembroke, near Beachburg. OWA members are welcome to participate and help plant 1500 seedlings. Many current students from Algonquin College have already volunteered to help out as well.

Wear comfortable footwear with ankle support and dress for the weather. Note the property is on the east/left side of the road if you’re coming through Beachburg.
